Dynadec Founder Pascal Van Hentenryck to Present at 2009 INFORMS Practice Conference
Optimization Expert to Lead Workshop and Tutorial Sessions
Providence, R.I., April 20, 2009 -- Dyandec founder and leading optimization expert Pascal Van Hentenyck will present two sessions on the Comet platform and its applications at the INFORMS Conference on O.R. Practice, to be held April 26-28, 2009 in Phoenix, Arizona.
Van Hentenryck’s presentations will include:
- On Sunday, April 26th, from 12:00-3:00 p.m., an integrated technology workshop to introduce the Comet hybrid optimization system for linear and integer programming, constraint programming and constraint-based local search.
- On Monday, April 27th, from 10:30 – 11:20 a.m., a demonstration of how Comet can be used for a variety of industrial applications, including vehicle routing optimization, workforce management optimization and resource scheduling optimization.
The INFORMS Conference on O.R. Practice is an essential forum for both practitioners and academics who seek to keep abreast of the latest scientific developments in optimization technologies and other methodologies. The conference features presentations from a mix of academic and industry leaders in the field of operational research.
