Dynadec Releases New Version of its Optimization Platform

COMET 2.1 includes new capabilities in scheduling and visualization, as well as a new IDE, COMET Studio

Providence, R.I, April 7th, 2010 - Dynadec, a developer of next-generation optimization technology and solutions, today announced that it has released a new version of its hybrid optimization platform, COMET.

Comet 2.1 includes enhanced capabilities in a number of critical areas including:

  • A new version of the COMET Studio IDE, with support for projects, syntax highlighting, and debugger integration
  • Enhanced constraint programming support including new soft global constraints, new implementations of Regular and Regular with Cost  constraints for rostering, and improved support for set variables and solutions objects.
  • Improved support for scheduling, including resource pools
  • A new version of the COMET user manual, including extended examples for API interfaces, visualization, and constraint scheduling
